Latest Information About Compact Flash

Latest Information About Compact Flash

CompactFlash is a mass storage device which is small and portable. It uses flash memory and it is used in various portable devices like digital cameras, handheld computers
etc. It uses flash memory and thus the data it stores remains saved even if the external power supply is cut off.

In 1994, CompactFlash cards were first introduced by SanDisk. One of the most common uses of it is in digital camera. The brand new Extreme Pro CompactFlash memory card by SanDisk is any photographer’s delight. It has capacities such as 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB as well as 90 Mb/s peak write and read speeds. Besides this it has the plus point that it can go with any card reader or any camera.

CompactFlash card is very durable and reliable since it is a single unit devoid of any moving parts. It has strong features and is robust enough to withstand accidents or strong impacts. In the various devices the slots for the cards are made in such a manner so as to prevent any sort of damage due to wrong way of card insertion. Unlike some USB flash drives
the CompactFlash does not have cryptographic capabilities.

Initially, CompactFlash used NOR based systems as a result it was larger in size compared to other memory cards. But, eventually it shifted to NAND based systems .It is only half ounce in size but can store loads of digital data. CompactFlash uses a connector having 50 pins. It consumes very low amounts of power and compared to all other flash memory storage available it has one of the lowest costs.

Fireworks and Photoshop compatible Digital-Optical Color Filters

I. OVERVIEW

CSI PhotoOptics filters provide the most efficient and precise way to color
correct your image based on traditional photographic principles. CSI
PhotoOptics consists of eight filters designed for use by graphic designers
creating images. These filters are designed to bring out the maximum
potential in your image by controlling and manipulating exposure,
contrast and colorcasts. Included are powerful controls for color negative
inversal and special effects such as accurate
Sepia tones, infrared simulations and flexible noise generation.

II. FEATURE HIGHLIGHTS

CSI PhotoOptics filters are based on photographic methods and can
manipulate and modify RGB images.

JavaScript-based games

With the development of Document Object Model Level 2 technologies in the late 1990s, it became possible to produce games that would run within a browser without the need of third-party plugins. These games were written using a combination of CSS, JavaScript and the Document Object Model, collectively termed as dynamic HTML (DHTML). Normally used for drop down menus and simple image rollovers, DHTML can be used to produce the animation effects required for sprite-based action games. Ajax programming techniques can also be used to further advance these types of games.
[edit] Plugin-based games
Plugin-based browser games require a form of web browser plugin to function. Some of these may include Java, Shockwave, Flash Player, Silverlight and Unity. Most modern browsers provide a method of installing such plugins if they are not installed.
[edit] Server-side games
A growing number of games are being created using server-side scripting, in a language such as PHP, ASP, Ruby, Perl, Python and Java. Games such as this typically only send the user's browser HTML code for interpretation. Some include Ajax to allow the user to see immediate responses to their online actions and make the games more visually appealing.
